International Fuller Woman Expo: Canadian Edition

On July 14, I had the pleasure of being involved in one of the most inspiring and meaningful projects I could ever imagine existed in the plus size community, The International Fuller Woman Expo.
It all started when I read a post on Marie Denee's blog, The Curvy Fashionista which showcased The Fuller Woman Expo, US Edition. After seeing this, I went to the FWE website, and saw an advertisement for an open model call in Toronto. I attended the audition on June 1st to check out the scene. I probably packed a weeks worth of clothes into a rolling suitcase, had a bag full of shoes, and a backpack filled with makeup, toiletries and my laptop!
I think I brought 7 pairs of shoes for 4 days, which might seem excessive but during Pride, you never know where you're going to end up! When packing for my weekend fashion, I thought of comfort before all else. Who says comfortable clothes can't be stylish right? For example, as unfashionable as running shoes might be, they really ca…
