Pride Pack: What to Bring

It was Toronto Pride last weekend and I spent the entire weekend in the city with some friends. That being said, I knew I had to pack up everything I could possibly need for the weekend into a couple of bags. I didn't have the opportunity to come back to my place at all during the weekend, which is about an hour outside of the city so I probably squished a couple hundred different items into four bags. It was kind of a hassle to juggle so many bags, but I didn't want to forget anything! I probably packed a weeks worth of clothes into a rolling suitcase, had a bag full of shoes, and a backpack filled with makeup, toiletries and my laptop!

I think I brought 7 pairs of shoes for 4 days, which might seem excessive but during Pride, you never know where you're going to end up! When packing for my weekend fashion, I thought of comfort before all else. Who says comfortable clothes can't be stylish right? For example, as unfashionable as running shoes might be, they really came in handy for a long weekend of standing, walking and volunteering!

The verdict is... I definitely overpacked! Honestly, I don't think I've ever been a light-packer because I enjoy having options. I'm definitely THAT girl who changes her outfit four or five times before she goes out, just because something seems a bit 'off' with the ensemble. Needless to say, I ended up bringing a number of staple pieces that I could mix with different items and a few bold statement pieces to add some flavour.

Below are a few images of what I brought to Toronto Pride weekend. Remember, comfort is key!
