"Moving Together" Addition Elle Event: Yoga for Round Bodies

A few of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to attend an amazing event at Addition Elle's Queen Street location in Toronto. The event called "Moving Together" and was designed to promote Addition Elle's new fitness line, Nola. Nola is an amazing activewear brand sold exclusively at Addition Elle. I have yet to purchase any items from the new line, but my trendy mom has (like mother like daughter, right?). I tried on some of her new pieces and I'm quite impressed. Great fabric quality, breathable and durable. Not to mention the patterns and designs are adorable!
The "Moving Together" event was sponsored by Yoga for Round Bodies and this day included an in-store yoga session which was wonderful to be a part of. It was so inspiring being surrounded by many women who were eager to try yoga for the first time or like myself, were trying something different!
I incurred an injury recently that limits my physical activity. I've been having a bit of challenge with my balance, so I tried out a few modified positions and I felt absolutely amazing! I sought out the assistance of the yoga instructor to provide me with some of these tips. The event was lead by yoga guru, Jayne Brown who is a member of the Yoga for Round Bodies team.
Jayne led us through 13 unique yoga positions, with options to modify the poses based on comfort and individual ability. I am not personally flexible, so I really appreciated some of these modifications. Due to the fact that I am not a first time yogi (although I'm a first time yogi since I incurred injuries) I would like to try some of the intermediate classes that Yoga for Round Bodies offer. Yoga is a great relaxation and coping mechanism for stress. If you're interested in discovering a new way to release your tension, I would highly recommend trying out a few simple poses so start and move forward from there. If you have any questions, make sure to contact Yoga for Round Bodies in Toronto!
Addition Elle is hosting another "Moving Together" event this Sunday, May 25th at many locations. Check out local listings, remaining invitations and a video from the last event here.

Also, check out one of my fellow yogi's (Krista) blog post about the event we attended here.
